How to Buy USDT on Binance P2P: Seller Checks, Payment and Appeal

Binance P2P connects users who exchange fiat and crypto. Binance holds the seller's crypto in escrow during the order, but escrow does not verify your bank transfer and does not protect an off-platform deal.

Checked in July 2026. Availability, payment methods and limits depend on jurisdiction and account.

Filter the ad, not only the price

Review completed order count, recent completion rate, average release time, order limits, payment method and written terms. A high percentage based on very few orders is weak evidence. A price far away from neighboring ads deserves extra scrutiny.

Complete buying flow

  1. Finish KYC and enter P2P from inside Binance.
  2. Select Buy, fiat currency, USDT, amount and payment method.
  3. Open an ad and read terms and payment window.
  4. Pay only the verified account displayed in the live order.
  5. Mark paid only after the payment is actually sent.
  6. Wait for the seller to verify receipt and release escrow.
  7. Confirm the USDT in Funding Wallet.

Five warning signs

  • Moving the chat to Telegram, WhatsApp or another channel.
  • Asking you to cancel after payment.
  • Payee name not matching order details.
  • Extra “deposit,” split payment or new terms.
  • A QR code or link asking you to sign in again.

Do not cancel the order. Save bank details, order number, in-platform chat and timestamps, then use Appeal inside the order. Never provide a verification code as evidence.

Selling: never trust a receipt alone

SMS, email and screenshots can be forged. Sign in to the payment account, confirm usable funds and verify the payer name before releasing crypto. Third-party payments can create reversal and ownership disputes.

Binance documents its escrow, KYC and appeal process in the Binance P2P guide.

⚠️ P2P carries payment and counterparty risk. Pause and appeal when anyone pressures you to change the agreed process.
